And, although our boxes commonly contain some marking and tape, they are perfectly acceptable for your use. Based on their origin, most boxes have generally been used only once previously.

"How many moving boxes do I need?" An easy guide can be applied for moving boxes based on the normal furnishings of a home. Of course if you have a large amount of books, collectibles, clothing, etc. you may want to supplement these counts.

Packing Tip #1 Have your moving company pack used boxes and lessen your packing cost.

Packing Tip #2 for figuring the number of dish barrels needed: for each full kitchen cabinet of breakables, one dish barrel is generally needed.

Packing Tip #3 for packing paper usage: for each dish barrel of breakables, a minimum of 5 pounds of packing paper is suggested. We discourage the use of peanuts as these items are not biodegradable. Packing paper is sufficient for protecting your goods and is the material of choice for professional movers.

Packing Tip #4 for how many wardrobe boxes are needed: 3 linear feet of hanging clothes can be hung in a normal wardrobe box.

Packing Tip #5 for packing pictures and small glass tops: put plenty of packing paper around the item. You can even use towels or sheets as padding. Never pack anything so loosely that an item can move around when a box is shaken, even slightly.

  Should you need assistance packing your boxes, please consider using our packing services. We employ experienced professionals with years of experience in the household goods packing & moving industry. All packers are background and drug checked, assuring you of a safe and professional staff in your home.

  Pricing

  For larger packing jobs, we offer a free phone or in-home evaluation of the labor needed. Our packing services follow standard moving and storage methods. Most importantly, these standard methods stress using the correct box for the correct item(s).

  You may purchase our packing labor in 2 separate ways:

  By the Labor Hour	By the Box Type (excludes materials costs)
  $35.00 per hour per packer 4 hour minimum +$25/day travel allowance	$11.67 per dish/glass pack $5.00 per wardrobe box $4.38 per picture/mirror box $4.38 per small, medium, large box $140 minimum + $25/day travel allowance

  We will consult with you, schedule the services, and initiate the purchase of your packing materials.

  48 hour minimum notice is required to schedule services. More notice is suggested during the busy summer moving months.

  Liability

  Note that our packers will not move your boxes once packed. The box will reside in the room from which it was packed. Note that our liability is $.60/ pound of article handled during the packing process. Once a box is sealed by our packer, our liability terminates. We are not responsible for contents damaged after a box is packed and left in your home. An acknowledgement of liability is required prior to the start of our packing service.
